
Dr nick gordon
Dr Nick Gordon is a director of Limelight Arts Travel and a well-known cultural tour leader, with over fifteen years’ experience leading tours to Western Europe, Asia and Australasia.
Nick has a University Medal and PhD in History from the University of Sydney, where he received a number of prestigious awards from his academic achievements. For many years, he taught history, architectural history and cultural studies at the University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, and UNSW.
He has also regularly presented lectures and courses on Italian art and history, and contemporary art and architecture, at the WEA Sydney, as a national lecturer for the Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Society (ADFAS), and online for his company The Short Course.
Since 2006, Nick has designed and led tours to Italy, France, Germany, the Low Countries, Scandinavia and China. He is particularly known for his design of successful tours to contemporary art fairs, such as the Venice Biennale, Art Basel and Art Basel Hong Kong. In 2020, he led the Australian travel industry’s pivot to online learning, designing and implementing a hugely successful program for a leading cultural tour operator.
Nick is a generous and patient tour leader, passionately communicating his love for historic and contemporary art, and their place in everyday life.
